The path of wool

About twenty years ago I came into contact with wool and silk through the Steiner school, and more specifically with felt.

It was the beginning of a loving, deepening and passionate relationship. The soothing, therapeutic quality of touching soft, warm wool, the power of a colour palette and the endless possibilities stimulate all my senses, my imagination and my creative energy.

I immersed myself in the world of wool through an intensive three-year felting course at the Viltacademie with Vrouw Wolle in Essen. I still regularly attend masterclasses with national and international felt teachers and continue to understand more of the language that wool speaks.

I draw inspiration from the magic of everyday life, nature, nature beings and both familiar and less familiar forces. What fascinates me most about felting is that I can transform an image, a dream or an encounter into a form made of wool, shaping the material as I work.

Every wool fibre that passes through my hands teaches me to be present in the here and now and to reconnect with my body. Every fibre transformed by my hands into a felt work reminds me that the most beautiful things can emerge through softness, love and warmth.

My magical felt work invites you on a journey along soft, woollen paths.
