Painting, pen drawing and mixed media
Wetteren, Belgium

Marcelline Piscador works in painting, pen drawing and mixed media, exploring stillness, vulnerability and inner resilience.

Belgian visual artist.

Painting and pen drawing. Stillness, vulnerability, Japanese aesthetics and inner resilience.

Marcelline Piscador, based in Wetteren, is a visual artist working with acrylic on canvas, mixed-media collage and pen drawing. Her practice explores stillness, slowness and inner resilience, often inspired by Japanese aesthetics and ritual simplicity.

After studies at St. Lucas Ghent, KASK Antwerp and KASK Sint-Niklaas, Marcelline built a career as a jewellery designer before a diagnosis of ME required her to redirect her focus fully towards visual art.

This physical limitation transformed her working process and deepened her exploration of breathing space, vulnerability and mental presence.

Her body of work evolved from abstract painting towards layered compositions with refined lines, transparent fields of colour and meditative repetition. During rehabilitation, she also developed a characteristic series of pen drawings, ranging from minimalist figures to detailed graphic structures.

Atelier Piscador takes part annually in Atelier in Beeld and the Day of Crafts. She is officially recognised as an artisan painter, exhibits regularly in Wetteren and the surrounding area, and is currently working on new pieces and a future solo exhibition.

Atelier Piscador is open to curatorial collaborations, group projects and commissions.
