About Etienne Rombauts

Born in Malderen on 14 September 1943.

After a busy professional life, I enrolled in a painting programme at the Academy of Fine Arts.

The works I have created so far include oil and acrylic on canvas and watercolour. Portrait painting is a demanding specialism. I enjoy it and want to continue developing it, but I do not want to limit myself to portraiture alone.

I also want to continue exploring other forms of painting, including still life, landscape and abstract work, according to the mood or inspiration of the moment.

Training

• 2006-2013: Art Academy of Wetteren, five years of painting and two specialisation years
• Since 2016: Ceramics training with Magda De Mol
