About Christine Scheire

Born and raised in Laarne, married to Frank and mother of Gilles, Himsha and Sarah.

I have always enjoyed drawing, and now that the children have left home, that creativity has room to develop fully. Some time ago, while visiting a Christmas market, I stepped into Atelier Suzy in Nevele and felt the desire to paint return. A long-postponed dream finally became reality.

I paint in acrylic, oil, gouache and mixed media, and I draw with graphite and charcoal, sometimes adding pastel. I am mainly guided by people, emotions and dreamlike qualities. Above all, when I am painting with a brush in my hand, I forget everything around me and find a sense of calm.
