Born on 24 June 1975 in Waregem, Belgium.

Steven Yde grew up in an artistic environment. He creates contemporary abstract sculptures made with passion and care in stone and bronze. His creations translate an idealised inner world in which subtle reveries and ideas recur as a continuous thread throughout his work.

He embraces the unpredictability of nature and makes it his partner. The results are pieces marked by simplicity and directness, while also carrying a remarkable warmth and a certain intensity.

Steven Yde's sculptures express his appreciation of simple beauty and result in a striking clarity and strong sense of form.
